Judith Joseph is an artist based in Chicago, Illinois. She exhibits widely, nationally and internationally. Her paintings, woodblock prints and calligraphic works (ketubot) are in hundreds of private and public collections, including the Chicago Public Library, Respect and Tolerance Foundation (Czech Republic) the Westmoor Public School, Northbrook, Illinois; Milwaukee Public Museum (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), North Shore Congregation Israel (Glencoe, Illinois), the Jewish Women’s Foundation (Chicago, Illinois), Hillel-Milwaukee and the North American Academy of Liturgy.
Selected solo exhibitions include: University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (2017); Zack Gallery, Vancouver, B.C., Canada (2015); Kraft Gallery, Columbia University, New York (2013); The Art Center, Highland Park, Illinois (2011), ARC Gallery, Chicago (2010) and the Chicago Public Library (2010).
Judith Joseph received Illinois Artists' Fellowship Awards in 1998 and 2004. Her art has been featured in numerous books, magazines and web publications, including Wisconsin Artists: A Celebration of Jewish Presence (Marquette University Press, 1994), The Passover Celebration (illustrations), Liturgy Training Publications, 2004, Shma Journal, Hashalom Magazine of Durban, S.A., Queens College Journal of Jewish Studies, New York, Blood And Thunder, U. of Oklahoma Press, and Letter Arts Review.
